Quick Sale Vital and no Europe next season - Administrator statements

Recommended Posts

What is the reason they haven't cut the costs.

Surely to save the Club they could let players go and make the savings.

Yet they will not do it.

My understanding of the statement is that the could cut players to the required level, however the results may mean that the team is no longer viable to a prospective buyer, or possibly no longer even competitive.

If they can get a buyer & investment, they can then maintain the fabric of the squad & have something to build on.

So far this administration has cost Rangers more than we have saved.

Agreed, basically they are saying we will be unsellable and most likely liquidated.

They are saying that "very severe cost cutting" have to be taken, i.e. that people not agreeing to pay cuts will be released from contract. IMHO, a Rangers like they are now with a servicable debt/CVA/whatnot and team of people able to fulfill the remaining fixtures is still a better option than a liquidated Rangers with no history and three years in financial wilderness and staring at "funny" point deduction ideas from the SFA/SPL/Lawwell's cohorts.

As said in another thread this is the work of Paul Murray

He has iterated he did not want cuts and Admin have responded with well...

"You have until Friday to show us the money"

If we were really in the shit severe cuts would have been made right now.
