SFA/Lord Nimmo Smith Investigation

Recommended Posts

The crucial thing to see here is tha the SFA are 9 months too late in this.

Had they done their job at the time, none of the other potential breaches would have happened.

And administration wouldn't have happened.

Therefor for any potential breaches the SFA are complicit and are culpable.

Shutting the stable door 9 moths afterwards is not an alibi.

Can you imagine the English FA behaving like this and getting away with it? Time some serious questions were asked of Regan and his merry band of clueless sycophants. Joke organisation and not fit for purpose, they have stumbled from one embarrassment to the next.

So what is the point of the fit and proper test? If the SFA think a prospective owner isn't fit and/or proper, what exactly can they do about it? Block the sale of a club? If not, then this is all a moot point really.

Regardless of the actual legislation, it makes them look fecking incompetent if nothing else.

Was wondering about this myself. On one hand they could claim that he's not the rightful owner and force him to hand his shares back to either the club itself or MIH.

On the other hand they could, through legal action, force the sale of the club were Whyte to be in any way an obstacle to this.
