The truth about TBK bid

Recommended Posts

I don't care about the personalities either, so that wasn't my point. If you are just an impartial Rangers fan, where are you getting the detailed information about the bids from? I could understand if you were an insider on one of the camps, but how do you know what the Green camp are proposing?

Oh I see where you are coming from now Casey. I have contacts that are very close to people within the bidders and the club. I know I am not the only one with this info, so it can certainly be verified. Unfortunately the nature of the internet and forums mean that everything is (rightly) treated with suspicion.

I can only put the info out there as I understand it. The only thing I can promise is that it is written without embellishment or with an agenda.

Fair enough. I am sceptical of anything in this sorry mess, but each of us can take the info and do with it as we please. Thanks.

Last time you came out with 'the truth' TB, and I'm not having a go - but you posted categorically that TBK were the preferred bidders. So you'll forgive my dubiety at any other similar type of claims that you, or anyone else tbh, has about this fiasco.

I have covered that again in this OP Danny as to why, when D&P had agreed to announce TBK on the Monday as I declared, it went wrong at the last minute due to Ticketus admitting they had lied to TBK all along. Absolutely nobody had any incling that Ticketus were about to do this, or that TBK had not seen any written proof that Ticketus had the deal done with Whyte.

The difference with my post today is that it deals with the past, not prediction of the future. I even qualified my info that Green will be PB by EOP Monday, we all learn from being bitten before!

Careful now some on here simply cannot comprehend that people can be privy to information that they're not.

In PMs' defence regarding your OP and the £28m, I don't think the circumstances then and now means you're comparing apples with apples. The £28m (I always thought it was £25m but that's irrelevant I suppose) wasn't an offer to buy the club from David Murray for that sum it was an offer to recapitalise the club to the tune of that amount. The £28m then was going into the club, if someone were to offer £28m today it wouldn't go to the club but into the CVA pot, the club would still require to be recapitalised post CVA.

Having said that I have to agree that I too have had major reservations of the strategy of their bid, some aspects have left me simply bewildered and the temptation to say "just put your money on the f*&king table and cut out the crap" is a big one, but I suppose that's easy to say as I'm not wearing their shoes.

To let our club slip into God knows whose hand for the sake of £million here or there would be an act of great folly.

I do not think anybody could have devised such a torturous scenario for f*&king with bears minds. I just want my club to saved, preferably by CVA but that hope seems to be ebbing away at an alarming rate.

PM may still have £28 million but cannot disclose that amount publicly as the tax man and administrators will just rub their hands at what they're getting. That £28 million may "appear" once TBK have gained control and the CVA agreed as it cannot be re negotiated.....just a wee thought :)

I'm a simple kind of person and I like to try to get down to basics. When I look at the BKs, I see two simple issues:

1. How much money do they have, and

2. How badly do they want to buy the club.

With Kennedy on board we know that there is plenty of cash around because the guy is seriously rich. So, we really have to ask question No. 2. .... how badly do they want to buy the club? Because we are not talking about a ton of cash here. We are talking about £2 or £3 million pounds.

I have a decent amount of experience of takeovers although that experience tends to be with large businesses where a million here or a million there is just a rounding error. But the point remains. You either want to do the deal or you do not.

It seems strange they could lose out because of £1m/£2m.

Or has it come down to a game of poker for Kennedy.

He's picked an odd time to start gambling, assuming he's being truthful about his CVA advisers telling him they have to start work immediately.

If you want to play poker, Brian, head to Gala Casino on Clydeside once you buy the club.
