The use of civil courts in football

Recommended Posts

the sfa don't have the money to fight celtc in court but do for us.

Regan says they must introduce rules that stand up in court then loses out to an illegal censure of rangers.

its laughable.

to make it worse they're now pretending they will give us a more severe punishment.

Regan should be booted out of Scottish football, not Rangers,he will pay for going along with the instructions of Liewell

All they have to show for trying to cripple us is a hefty legal bill and a ticking off from big brother FIFA. I love it.

FIFA, UEFA or the SFA cannot refuse any individual or company the right to contest what amounts to a restriction of trade using the law courts of their countries.

Then to threaten said company with further sanctions because they have dared challenge their authority.

Isn't that what happened with the Bosman Ruling.

I think so. It's also worth noting UEFA themselves have said they won't use transfer bans for a number of reasons now, mainly that they don't think they'd stand up to legal challenge. Given that, I doubt very much they'd support or get involved with the SFA should they wish to pursue it.

"@BBCAlLamont: No contact between FIFA and SFA re rangers going to Court of Session since yesterday's verdict"

Not likely to be either IMO.

FIFA wanted a quick resolution so will be happy enough the court have referred the final decision back to the SFA. Any FIFA investigation would not only be into RFC but the SFA for not having the CAS option available. No-one will want that so SFA won't appeal it and they'll offer RFC a year's suspension from Scottish Cup.

Done.

I am sure most Rangers fans would take a year's ban from the Scottish Cup, it is the only way forward in my opinion, expelling us would f**k Scottish football.

Frankie, if the SFA had any sense then this would be clear...but it's the bloody SFA mate.
