More Players to Leave McLeod‏@BBCLiamMcLeod

It leaves a sour taste in the mouth. First the timing, second the actualy deed. As I said before, they could simply signed up with the newco and then have left to pastures new. Now it looks their agents (the same, apparently) will see them joining up with an English club and what we probably had gotten as a transfer fee wanders into their and their agent's coffers. These people rode through the storm with us last season and earned their status as legends. Not greats, but legends. But now they destroy that moral knighthood with what comes down at the end of the day as simple greed.

Greed, the law and the clowns who handed them the keys to do it.

I reckon greed has less to do with it than the witch hunt from the other clubs and their fans, the ineptitude/incompetence of the thoroughly unhelpful SPL & SFA as well as last, but certainly not least, the portrayal of our situation by the frenzied and blood-thirsty Scottish media.

It seems to me as if the players are being led to believe that Rangers and it's history are dead and that Rangers under a new company, corporate shell (or whatever you want to call it) aren't the same football club. That's certainly how it came over in their press conference today and if Naismith & Whittaker have been led to believe that it's not the same club, then we're in an even more worrying situation than a lot of people will have imagined because other players will certainly be feeling the same way and following suit.

These players should have been kept far better informed about the situation by the club and also by the PFA who don't appear to have been properly helping our players through this situation. All the PFA seem to have been doing is telling our players they can leave because it's a new company and their contract doesn't stand for anything unless they want to stay and weather the shit-storm.

Not one body, club or person will come out of this catastrophe with any sort of character. Certainly it is portrayed as a moral crusade, but if you suspend your morality on all issues other than 'ra hunz' it's not worth wasting attention on. PFA, while immune from criticism within the 'we're all egalitarian, reeeeellly' Scottish mhedia (not one of whom would know Keir Hardie should they be shown a picture of the Great Man), have not managed to get a clear picture on player contracts - afraid this has to be their No.1 priority.

Charlie Telfer would walk into our first team next season as would Lewis McLeod.
