Rangers Fans Fighting Fund Survey

Recommended Posts

We're not really applying for anything on the basis of this survey. It's more or less (I assume) a way of telling the rest of Scotland that if they parachute us into D1 or some SPL2 or whatever, it's not us that asked for it - it's their own greed and lack of integrity.

No vote.

We should not apply for anything until this tawdry situaton is sorted out.

Full stop.

Until further deliberations - we have done no wrong. That's a fact.

Is this RFFF telling me thanks for the dosh and we'll decide what's best, and in the interests of democracy, you really don't need to know the relevant details but we'll use the dosh as we see fit.

Well, bugger you RFFF. I prefer true democracy, and you'll have to try pretty hard to get my wonga the next time.

I'm really pissed off, for valid reasons, and next time some pseudo-democratic call for help scheme is invented - count me out!

Angry Loyal.

If I could vote on it, I would vote for the third division; because it means we do our penance, no one can complain and as others have said we can bounce back like Fiorentina, who played us in the semi-final of the UEFA Cup , six years after going bankrupt and starting again in the 4th Division..

Penance for what? For going into administration? W've already done our penance.

For being liquidated? We could have had a CVA and continued in the SPL with no pronblems oter than for HMRC taking a non-commercial decision to go for liquidation. I fail to see why we should serve penance due to an ad-hoc decision/policy by HMRC.

Fairytale stuff alright. We have applied to join, SFL1 is the authorities recommendation for economic reasons, a different set of circumstances to Fiorentina. This is no longer just about what to do about us but has provided an opportunity for change that was not possible before our crisis. If that works in our favour then I am all for it. SFL1 for me. I think we will start to see more pragmatic thinking over the next few days from chairmen and journalists. If not the whole game is screwed.

Bang on cue, to illustrate my point. What a volte face from Steven Pressley

I would have thought that the only way that we can play in SFL 1 next season is if we are relegated from the SPL? If the newco has to apply for membership of the SFL, then we would start in Div 3.

Can the SPL Chairmen vote in a newly created sanction stating that all Newco clubs are relegated down a division without the SFL having any say in this?

They can if it is the SPL2. Why do you think such a rush is on to get that in place.

Div 3 for me. If its Div 1 and we get promoted at the first attempt I dont 12 months is enough time to have the bittnerness of others gone therefore sanctions would be awaiting IMO.

Like people have mentioned Fiorentina came cruising back. Its amazing whan drive and determination can do, AFC Wimbledon started again after MK Dons were created and they have cruised through the lower tiers and back in Div 2 in England.
