Indeed while he was playing up front Tommy Docherty said he would be his first choice for Scotland at centre-half. If he could add a few extra things to his game like DJ said then we would have a striker and a half in our ranks. The Normandy was a Disco in those days and had many beautifull woman kicking about. DJ was well known in Renfrew in many pubs the Normandy being 1. There was also a pub down at the ferry where he was reputed to drink many bottles of Vodka. I can't think of the name at the mo.) His wife was also reputed to be one of the biggest shags in Renfrew at that time although i only have that from hearsay.
