Is Ally the Man for the job? - The McCoist Thread

Recommended Posts

Training at Auchenhowie lasts normally 75 minutes to 90 minutes max 4 days a week, there is no training regime worth the name.

If that's the case then there's something very very wrong at Ibrox

There lies a massive problem on its own. To go to your place of employment for up to 90mins per day when you get thousands per week shows where football has went mad. No wonder its only the winners like Gascoigne, Ronaldo and Beckham that you hear stories like being the first on and last off training grounds and putting in extra hours practising free kicks etc.

They should be spending minimum 6 hours at training which should vary in fitness, ball control, tactics, set pieces etc plus each groups doing their own work I.e. Strikers - finishing, defenders - tackling / winning balls.

There should be none of this Barry Ferguson mentality who didnt like anything other than a few hours.

Don't know what our training is like but your regime is pure over training. All that would give us is knackered, unfit and injured players. How will that help?

It wouldn't if done properly.

We've been clueless on the training ground for years now. We need a non Rangers man with zero ties to the club to start afresh.

this has got to be his last match. enough is enough. we are a joke and in need of a proper football manager. never been so embarassed or so angry.

Unless it every Celtic fan's dream appointement as Rangers manager, Ally is absolutely, self-evidently, manifestly not the man for the job.

Ally is a great guy but a shockingly poor manager.

If we ever want to regain our rightful place, we need a real manager. As of now, every day spent with McCoist in charge of the team is a day wasted.

The team seem unable to build any kind of momentum or consistency. They had a good result last Sunday, getting their first away win....the team should have been looking to build on that milestone and move forward, but instead appeared to take 5 steps backwards.

I am never one to put blame in the manager/coaching staff, but they have to take a massive whack of the blame. The team has no shape or balance.
