Moira Gordon: â??No kid ever dreamed of swapping top flight for the lowest tierâ??

Recommended Posts

Not the only manager who has been forced to live within even more stringent budgetary constraints due to the mismanagement at Rangers and the impact on gate receipts and television deals, not the only fan who waits patiently for big-name arrivals, not the directors who bear the brunt of it.

The same directors who got so consumed by their own bloodlust and thirst for vengeance that they willingly breached their fiduciary duties and such was their cowardice that they passed the buck to the only party who were blameless in this whole sorry saga?

If the Hibs boss is angry then imagine how the clubs who are still waiting for their football debts to be settled feel.

The same clubs who will receive every penny they're due from RFC yet only 2.5p in the £ from Dundee first time they went bust then 6p in the £ second time round not to mention Livingston twice and Motherwell, where the f*&ks the integrity in that eh Moira?

Last week Scotland manager Craig Levein made it clear he is not keen to select players who have elected to play for newco Rangers in the Third Division

For the last year Scotland fans have made it clear we are not keen to back a manager who is worthy of the third division.

This is not journalism. It's opinion and ill-founded opinion at that.

She fails to differentiate between the football club and the companies who have owned it. She hasn't researched the matter of football debts at all, instead relying on innuendo from other sports "journalists."

The fact thar Rangers have sold more season tickets than half of the SP combined is also swept under the carpet.

The other thing that is swept under the carpet is that the parties who have been most shafted - both financially and emotionally, are the Rangers fans.

Bit heigh-ho Moira. Let's not let truth get in the way of your misguided opinion.

Haha, surely the last club any player with even an ounce of ambition is going to sign for is Hibs! No matter what league they are in they have a manager who is clearly miles out of his depth, has only months if not weeks left in the job and will be a difficult quiz question in a few years (aarrgghh, what was his name again, looked like the bastard love-child of Nevin and O'Neill, got gubbed in the Scottish Cup Final, oh what was his name??). Add to that Hibs have a board who change managers with an alacrity only bettered by Hearts and you can see why players might just be wary of signing for them.

But yeah, blame Rangers, blame the players, blame greed, (how dare they want to earn money, why everyone knows Dean Shiels and Sandaza are already multi-millionaires) but whatever you do don't blame the Hibs board, manager or supporters for their own mess.

And still the Rebel would have you believe that its sponsored 'sell-out' gimmick is a success. You couldn't make it up.

Unfortunately, yes you can make it up. This is an example. I haven't seen the paper or it's website but if this is what they are claiming then, I fear they may be beyond redemption.

Complete success they claim, but not one game sold out in fact some attendances were down, you couldn't make it up.
