Vanguard Bears - just who are they?

Recommended Posts

Change one line to :

We're up to our eyes in BBC lies.

Sing it loud, sing it proud. Can you imagine the various media discussions once the changed line is explained?

There is 100s of potential lines. 'We're up to our knees in Celtic shite'

If groups like TBO, VB etc want to do something really good to avoid another 41 pages on the other thread then get together and come up with a good version of this and start singing it. Make a statement before hand to whoever (The club, police etc) that this song is returning with suitable words.

There is no doubt about it, this song got the whole stadium up and singing

I get the impression people would only need to say the 2 words Hullo Hullo and they could be hauled away from their seat deemed a racist bigot.

Hullo, hullo, we are the Rangers boyz,

Hullo, hullo, you'll recognise us from the noise,

We'll be in the wrong,

If we sing offensive songs,

Not us, we're really nice,

For we are the best fans in the world.

Easy as that.

the problem with vb and whyte wasn't that they were taken in, lots were. it was the still defending him long after it was clear he had ruined us deliberately.

the whyte fanboys deserve everything they get when it comes to being slagged over whyte.

A post like this wouldn't be out of place on a VB-hating site like FF or KDS. "The Whyte fanboys" is, of course, a term no-one would ever use to describe VBers anywhere other than on an Internet site.

The reason VBers were reluctant to condemn Whyte is they refused to follow the lead of FF posters in joining Celtic-loving journalists like Daly using Craig Whyte as a mechanism to heap public ridicule on Rangers. I remember posts on FF praising Mark Daly's role in setting Rangers on the road to recovery. Yeah, right. That was his rationale all along, we all see that.

VBers' loyalty to Whyte was misplaced but their motivation was admirable.

I think people should avoid making generalisations about other forums.

Every site has it's fair share of opinionated people (a vocal minority if you like) so I don't think it's accurate or helpful to say forum a or fan group b backed people or not. It's not as simple as that and I'm pretty sure most bears can realise that.

While it's true that generalisations should be avoided, it's also fair to say there are some sites whose editorial policy more accurately reflects the views of most of its posters than other sites.

FF is certainly one. VB is another, whereas this site contains a far more broad range of opinions with little or no editorial influence apparent.

A bit political is it not.

I wouldn't say that, the bold Frankie turned my thumb upside down on my Union Bears article...
