Feature film The Angels' Share, actor Gregor Fisher and BBC Scotland's investigations unit have all been honoured at the Scottish Baftas.

The showbiz awards were held in Glasgow, hosted by DJ Edith Bowman.

That investigation looked at what went on behind the scenes at the financially-stricken Glasgow football club.

He secured the role after speaking to writer Laverty about his time in a young offenders institution, his battle with addiction and community work with Strathclyde Police.

Paul Brannigan, Jasmin Riggins, Charlie MacLean, Siobhan Reilly and William Ruane arrive at the BAFTA Scotland Awards The stars of the The Angels' Share were among those who turned out for the awards ceremony

Zam Salim picked up two awards on the night for his debut feature film Up There, in the best director and best feature film categories.

We've just seen the talent shown by the those selecting the PFA and Scottish writers player of the year awards since the introduction of the SPL. And having a look at this "talent" did not require any great academical education, just very basic abilities in maths ...

But the people doing this awards stuff were sure utterly impartial and non-biased and solely overwhelmed by the grand investigative and unbiased reporting on the matter.

rab c aside, i see tims are have cleared up in these awards too. this country is so one sided it is frightening. maybe we should be waving the oppressed card!

The BBC in general is unaccountable & out of control (especially at pacific quay where it does what it likes)

Only way to change this is to get rid off the licence fee & force it look elsewhere for its revenue. Only then would it be prepared to look at who they employ & what they were broadcasting. No viewers or less viewers would affect its revenue. They'd change their tune then alright.

A couple of things were conveniently overlooked in the Rangers documentary:-

1) EBT's weren't illegal. Over 5,000 UK companies had them before they were abolished

2) SDM had reduced our debt down to £6m by the time PLG became manager in 2006 after the shares issue he underwrote.

But it was Daly who did the documentary and anything he does regards Rangers is inevitably biased because he's a tim.

How did that pile of crap get nominated for anything? It makes you wonder what else was in the same category?

On a side.. the article starts with talk of an award for the Angels Share. Are they serious? I genuinely wish Ken Loach and his writer Paul Laverty would take their depressing take on modern Scotland and shove it where the sun don't shine. Thanks to these two, the world will no doubt think we are all celtic supporting illiterate and an ill-educted loveable craicsters. Get the f**k off.

Where is Bill Forsyth when you need him?
