The Scottish clubâ??s chief executive Charles Green told talkSPORT last week that he would be prepared to quit Scotland and relocate his club to England if plans for a reform of the game north of the border goes ahead. An exclusive talkSPORT poll has revealed clubs in the Blue Square Premier Division would be in favour of the switch, and Lee insists it would not be impossible. He told Keys and Gray: â??On Monday [January 21] we have a mid-season meeting of clubs so that is a topic for conversation. Itâ??s up to the clubs to make rule changes. â??There are one or two problems, of course. Itâ??s up to FIFA whether a club can change countries or not, so thatâ??s the first issue. And the second, and probably the most important, is the problem it would create with promotion and relegation and having an uneven number of teams. â??It would be wrong if the Football League would not take Rangers as part of the promotion and relegation system. Otherwise they would be in the Conference keeping out a team who might have the wherewithal to go higher in the pyramid. â??But they are not insurmountable problems. You will have to have the co-operation of a lot of different organisations to make it possible, but where there is a will there is a way.â? talkSPORT polled 14 of the 24 clubs in the Blue Square Premier League to ask if they would support a move to introduce Rangers into the league. The majority responded that they were definitely in favour. So they got the Conference chairman, Brian Lee, on this morning to advise him and he said that provided the FIFA obstacle could be overcome other obstacles were not insurmountable. He said the Conference are have a meeting on Monday and this will be part of the agenda. Even though many would never want it, it was very refreshing to hear any 'majority' come out in favour of having us, even if it is to line their pockets. As the show went on other Conference clubs were contacting the show to say they were in favour. Then Andy Gray started getting tweets from annoyed Dhims (obviously getting pretty annoyed about a show of open arms inviting the 'evil' Rangers). "Paul has just tweeted saying that he won't be tuning in any more as we are just a Rangers propoganda machine this week. I presume he's only talking about the location of where we would play as opposed to actually taking up a stadia down south? They would have to rip the heart out of their squad if they wanted to follow us because they couldn't afford the one they have without Euro money and it would knock on the head any chance they have of joining at a higher level.
