Ally's the manager he dictates the training regime

I don't think that's completely correct. We employ/pay specialist sports scientists like Adam Owen to dictate the fitness and conditioning regime for our players.

we should forget all fitness work and work on how to play like a team instead of a bunch of 7 year old strangers.

as for leaving if we work them harder. good let them go. won't be hard to find same quality replacements prepared to work for the team.

The training regime is the manager's responsibility. Fitness and conditioning are only two elements to the training regime.

McCoist should be demanding they be in Murray Park for far, far, far longer than 2.5 hours a day. It is insulting to every single fan that forks over good money to the club. And the way these players are performing we should be calling the cops as it is robbery the wages they get.

They should be working on differing formations, tactics, hitting simple passes, gaining some level of telepathy - all things that can be worked on in training.... if you were there long enough to even have your lunch....

Agreed. Maybe we should take our squad to shadow an Annan player for a day as he does his 8 hours hard graft on the job prior to heading to training for a couple of hours in the evening, getting home just in time to get to bed to start it all again the next morning.

Prima donnas doesnt even begin to explain this lot if they think training for more than a couple of hours a day is beneath them. I bet Messi, Ronaldo, Aguero, Suarez etc etc etc all put in a fair shift at training. Those guys truly LOVE the game and want to continually get better - the impression I get from our batch of imposters is they just want to get paid.

David Beckham was never off the training pitch developing himself.

he stayed behind after training with Goram and would hit anything up to 300 free kicks just to perfect the art. Our lot could do well to at least TRY to have the same work ethic.

Remember watching a programme about Ryan Giggs and he would stay back for hours, working on the weakest parts of his game.

That's a Myth.

I know it's Ally's responsibility overall, but it's worth pointing out that the club employ specialist sports science qualified coaches like Adam Owen to take charge of the fitness and conditioning aspects of the training regime. That's a fact and it's a fact that's worth pointing out if anyone is trying to suggest it's Ally's fault that our players aren't fit enough.

I completely agree Craig, but most of the staff will be happy to leave early every day and that's a common trait in any workplace. We've been talking about this for years too, so it's not something that's just been introduced on Ally's watch.
