Where Did It Go Wrong Yesterday

Recommended Posts

A simple question and i will give you a answer

We were bossed about inj midfield by a 38 year old guy who smokes 40 fags a day. That's just shpocking no disrespect to Latapy but young Clement should have him in his back pocket

Don't underestimate Latapy.

He's one of the best in our league at 'pulling the strings' in midfield, and as young as Clement is.. there's no substitute for experience.

And 9 times out of 10, in conditions like that yesterday, experience will triumph over youth.

What went wrong yesterday was Falkirk won the midfield battle coz they are similar to the other 137 professional teams in the UK that they have a midfield and understand its common knowledge to play players across the middle rather than just lump 2 players in the same position.

We havent had a midfield for over 3 years now.

Im not underestimating Latapy but he is 38 doesn't have the same legs as Clement. Clement should easily win that battle

A battle isn't just about legs.

Especially in conditions like that yesterday, I'd take experience over a young French lad any day of the week.

none of leguens buys in the summer are any good. Infact we gave away better players. he fucked up big time in the transfer market and i would like to hear him admit that. we are fucking crap and its not going to get any better with the squad we have.

Maybe it's because Clement isn't the superstar some us seemed to think he was. However he does need support in there. We have all been saying for weeks maybe months now that the formation does not work home or away. How long will it take PLG to realise that

I thought our biggest problem was having composure in the final 3rd of the pitch. We lacked width and even though we played with 2 wide players, Novo and Prso were rarely looking for the ball in wide positions in an attempt to stretch their defence and create space. On the occasions we did, chances were created and no-one was there to take them.
