Football club employees have had far worse incidents and their business hasn't really suffered at all. An apology has been made and as far as I'm concerned the matter should be closed. John Terry remained Chelsea club captain after being tried for racial abuse, both by a court and the FA. As far as i'm aware they haven't started struggling for sponsorship and business deals since.
