SFL clubs having second thoughts?

Recommended Posts

Just seen on the news today's meeting at Hampden to seal the spl/sfl merger has not been as straight forward as first thought.

It was expected the gathering would be over with an announcement by lunchtime with the formalities completed, but now it could go on into the evening.

Well done Mr McClelland of Annan Athletic for this......

Grant Russell@STVGrant1mAnnan chairman Henry McLelland: "Some of the liabilities being put on the SFL have been taken off the table"

The final straw for us was we were going to be severely financially penalised. We still are to an extent.

HM: Case now we have to move forward. There are many aspects in this that are for the good of the game. Let's get this in place.

HM: This should be about football, not people in suits.

Grant Russell@STVGrant1mHM: If it means we are here until 11am tomorrow, than so be it. The important thing is getting it right.

A significant number of due diligence and legal obstacles have been removed by SPL opening books to SFL board.

HM: I don't know if we will run out of time but intent is to have inaugural SPFL board meeting tonight.

do the sfl clubs have the facts about harry hoods claim against the spl if he wins his claim plus his legal fees that will cost the clubs a pretty penny to pay out for something they had nothing to do with

They are very aware foggy...

“A number of points need to be clarified, such as the amount of money that could go out of the pot if legal cases against the SPL result in financial loss.”

Former Celt Harry Hood has a £1.7million compensation claim outstanding against the SPL.

And the Annan chief says SFL clubs are still unclear of what’s happening with a £500,000 claim for legal costs Rangers were pursuing after they were investigated over the Big Tax Case.
