He was on huge dollar and would most likely not have got that anywhere else at his age. Methinks no-one singled him out for "God-like" praise here ... and IMHO, those who committed to the club last summer are all to be commended for it. We may or may disagree on the "legend" status, but as far as I am concerned, those who chose to play for Rangers in the fourth tier of the Scottish game achieved at least a certain kind of legend status. You're probably right in a sense dB and we're probably being a bit unfair, but in all honesty, the truth is probably balanced somewhere in the middle in that the high-earning players like Jig and Alexander who stayed did so for multiple reasons; to help the club, but also to help themselves because they were at home here with their families, earning good money, didn't have agents battering down their door with offers etc etc. Basically a whole bunch of reasons and yes, of course one of the reasons would have been that they stayed and moved down to the 3rd division with Rangers to help the club. He wanted to stay with Rangers, whether that had to do with money or his love for the club we don't know for sure.
