I've always maintained a high regard for AJ and would gladly have him back. Not enough Rangers men around these days with the same level of dignity. Whenever he says anything I always feel it is what he truly believes and that there is never any hidden agenda in his words.

Although I hope he is talking absolute bollocks this time!! :)

I'd have him back in a heartbeat; who else can you think of in recent times who you could say that about.

Another who stood up to be counted and opposed the sale to Whyte; and paid for it with his position at the Club.

And BTW, the man responsible for bringing back the black & red socks when he was a relatively unknown lowly director.

I find AJ a bit like Mystic Meg. He's always coming out with vague and unsubstantiated predictions of the future but never tells it straight and never provides any evidence or indeed a good argument. It's all just innuendo.

When things don't tally with what he's said you don't hear from him, when thing happen that can vaguely be interpreted as what he predicted then he comes out with a "I told you so." But when you think about it properly the answer is usually, "No you didn't really."

There is nothing really mystic in what he is saying or has said. "David - this guy Whyte is an imposter - get rid!" or "I'm worried that Whyte is still lurking in the shadows pulling strings" (aren't we all - can any of us be sure he isn't). Nothing mystic there for me, just a man who still cares.

I would agree with that. Hindsight is a great thing but alarm bells should have been ringing for all of us when AJ and others were coming out so vociferously against Whyte.
