Its just seems strange to me that an employee of our club' date=' complains about our FD, both of whom I would imagine conduct the vast majority of their work in Scotland.[/quote']

The club has no banking facilities in Scotland, it's bank is located in Southampton Row, London (iirc), it is from there any alleged return of capital would have taken place.

The whole no SFO in Scotland stuff is a red herring and just Toxic Jack trying to control the narrative.

why are we entertaining this notion the sfo have no jurisdiction in Scotland. serious frauds committed in Scotland are to be reported to them for action. they then deal with the procurator fiscal as required.

going to the sfo is entirely the correct course of action.

why are people falling for this cop out from stockbridge?

What utter nonsense.

Scotland does not have bodies similar to the

Serious Fraud Office (SFO) or the City of

London Police Economic Crime Directorate

(which acts as the lead force for fraud in

England and Wales).

However, serious and

complex frauds are investigated under the

direction of the Crown Office’s Economic

Crime Unit, which is part of the Serious

Organised Crime Division.

Its not a red herring FS - the SFO have no jurisdiction in Scotland. If the locus of any fraud is England then they will have jurisdiction to investigate but it most certainly will not be on behalf of the PF as that is an aspect of Scottish Law which is peculiar to Scotland.

England have the CPS.

any crime reported to the sfo is no less or more likely to lead to a conviction just because it is in scotland.

thats before we even get onto the fact the crime almost certainly happened in england.

You are really not getting this GS are you ? They dont have any jurisdiction to investigate crime in Scotland. End of.

England and Scotland are governed by different laws. They will not be reporting anything to the Procurator Fiscal for consideration of a prosecution - I can guarantee it.

If a crime has occurred and the locus of that crime is in England then they will have jurisdiction to investigate - but it will be reported to the CPS not the Procurator Fiscal or Crown Office.

If the crime locus is Scotland then it will not be the SFO who undertake the investigation.
