Do they have 20' date='000 fans.. ?

Meanwhile back on planet Earth....[/quote']

For Cup finals all these wee teams seem to dig up auld Grannies, auld uncles and aunties, and village idiots to swell the numbers. The club never sees them again after the final though they disappear back into the Sahara, and the club realise it was just a mirage. There is more chance of getting a camel to come to every game.

Village idiots :laugh2:. Bit harsh but it is Dundee after all.

It's the Cup effect.

All the lifelong Arabs who have supported their team through thick and thin crawl out from their closet, search for their scarves, dust off the cobwebs and moths then head down to a semi- final pretending they've never been away.

Remember the 2004 CIS final? Reportedly, Hibs had 40,000 died in the wool fans there.

Didn't stop Livvie humping them 2-0.

Just one question, Pete. Is Jim Spence included in the village idiot group?

Aberdeen have 40000 going to the final on Sunday yet haven't sold out their own 21000 stadium for years and even then it had 4000 Rangers fans in the ground.

Now Dundee Utd who haven't sold out a 12000 stadium for years want 20000.

I am in agreement that all cup semi's and the final should be at neutral grounds but its the SFA they need to get onto, they are the ones who made the balls up of deciding the stadia months in advance with the assumption that Celtic would get to parade the trophy in front of their own fans and stadium.

Even the league cup final this weekend would have almost sold out Ibrox making a good atmosphere (47000 tickets sold) now there is going to be a huge section empty.
