Will Ferguson have right of veto on new manager

I'm starting to lose track of how many threads we have which are discussing the same issues!

No-one knows exactly what has happened over the last few days/weeks.

I believe that 50% of the stories on here have an element of truth about them, the other 50% just wishful thinking.

What is clear is that arguably the best young manager in Europe has left the club a couple of days after dropping a player who he felt was undermining him in the dressing room. This is fact.

The chairman has obviously sided with Ferguson, which does not bode well for a future manager.

Ray willkins wants the job

Confirmed (his own mouth)

Some rangers fans make me sick, when he (le guen) left murray park he was ousted by rangers fans singing "cheerio cheerio cheerio".

just seen the video on ssn.

Totally agree about the rumours, no smoke without fire and all that. By that standard though, we should also consider that PLG has allegedly been unhappy here for some time.

I still think there's much more to these two stories than meets the eye.

I heard Mrs PLG had not settled in Scotland, and that PLG had was going to give it a full season before making a decision. Maybe he played his hand earlier than planned.

I know this may be off topic but we have so many threads right now.....

Am I the only one who found Derek Ferguson's comments to be mis-timed ? I think it is diistasteful to not even let the dust settle on PLG leaving before making a "the main thing is Barry will remain at Rangers" comment.

Maybe I am just being bitter today !

How good was it to hear Ray Wilkins talking about the club in such a positive way, top player and a top bloke.

It just goes to show you that rangers are still in his heart:thup: plus regarding the posistion that we're in it's still a good job.

You see those wee boys sticking the middle finger up, hahah. (mothers little darlings) indeed.

People need to calm down about this whole Barry Ferguson thing. He possibly spoke out of turn in the dressing room as perhaps he felt his position of captain allowed him. Le Guen didn't like it and took action. Who knows. Doesn't mean that Barry is suddenly running Rangers. Take a reality check.

At end of day, like or not, David Murray owns and runs Rangers. Full stop. And unlike the early days when he indulged the managers with big transfer funds from his own pocket he now runs Rangers like one of his business's with every department to be accountable. This INCLUDES the footballing side of it. He's hardly going to listen to one of his football employees as to who their new manager should be although I would expect him to take advice from senior figures in the game ( perhaps Walter, Sir Alex etc ) as to who he should consider.
