120 days is a significant amount of time for Wallace to conduct this business review with his man Nash.

I think many people would say it's actually a ridiculous amount of time given the state of the Club financially and the fact that we basically appear to have run out of cash during the review period and had to turn to borrowing from next season's ticket money 5 months before the start of the new season.

Not only that, but Wallace was here for a whole month before his 120 day review began and by the time he releases it he'll have taken 5 months to get there which is a considerable amount of time.

So... 5 months into his tenure, this 120 day review is going to have to be an absolute cracker because taking 5 months to write us a list of stuff we've already known for 15 to 20 months simply won't be good enough.

It doesn't even require expensive business and financial gurus like Wallace and Nash to tell us that the Club's cost base is too high and that the Club needs to increase it's revenue streams as well as bring in fresh investment. These things are blatantly obvious.

It doesn't require these guys to tell us that we need to build a scouting system and maximise the benefits of our youth system. These things are blatantly obvious.

We need action, not expensive words. We need to see tangible changes rather than just repetitive statements of intent.

Getting rid of Stockbridge when that was long overdue, completely botching up an attempt to get staff to take voluntary wage cuts and pushing Toxic Jack behind a big curtain somewhere will not be seen as an appropriate level of progress.

Bringing in a scout and publishing a ropey fan engagement survey that was actually a slightly underhand method of introducing the fans to the notion of a membership scheme will not be seen as an appropriate level of progress.

Wallace and Nash have their work cut out here because expectations are high. They better have a doozy of a business review for us next month.
