SOS - George Angus has been escorted from the building today?

I just read that "Great Stadium Robbery" a very apt title. Being thrown to the wolves by Mr Murray is an understatement, our club was hung drawn and quartered, not just by our enemies but by an orchestrated collection of thieves, conmen, ****s and chancers.

Funnily enough i was watching that film about Wyatt Earp with Kevin Costner, the scene where Tombstone has been left to the mercy of cattlemen and gunslingers. Earp walk into the saloon and fire his shotgun into the air and shouts "It all ends now" I pray to god someone comes in soon and puts an end to all the racketeering and ruining of our great club.

Did Ken Olverman not question what Craig Whyte was doing? I seem to recall it came up during the disrepute hearing. I believe he was told by his regulatory body to leave it be and leave it to Whyte

There's different ways of looking at what happened with Olverman. In one sense, his alleged innocence was seen as a good thing in our fight against the SFA & SPL over their heavy handed approach to sanctions and proposed title stripping. From what we found out about his case though, it never sat right and it's a struggle to imagine how he could have managed to remain employed at the Club to this day.

Olverman was apparently contacted by HMRC officials in August 2011 because Ticketus had tried to claim back millions of pounds in VAT they had charged Rangers, but Olverman later said to investigators that the Ticketus invoices were fakes and hadn't been created within the Club's finance office.

Assuming Olverman hadn't known about any wrongdoing until then it's safe to assume that alarm bells should have started ringing for him immediately in the August and yet we're supposed to believe he told absolutely nobody at the Club about it - including any remaining Club directors - because Whyte had told him not to speak to anyone else but himself about any of the Club's finances, especially Club directors?

Maybe it's just me, but Olverman's story starts sounding fishy before we even get to the part where he was told by Whyte in the September to suspend payments to HMRC and complied with Whyte's instructions - without telling anyone else at the Club - while continuing to deduct well over a million quid a month from employees' wages.

Again, maybe it's just me, but that seems like Olverman was grossly failing in his duties as the Club's financial controller.

After all, even if continuing to pay what was owed to HMRC had forced an earlier insolvency because Whyte didn't have any funds or investors to cover the Club's massive running costs, you'd have to imagine that a cleaner bill of health (outwith the EBT case) would have meant a relatively simple CVA exit from an admin event? Maybe not, I really don't know, but I do think the fact that Olverman is still at the Club is simply staggering.
