Rangers investor urges Dave King to put his money where his mouth is

Fantastic article

It's not really. Some valid points aside, it basically reads as someone desperate to get their money back.

Going by his previous emails to his friends Charles, Imran and Brian last June that's not a surprise.

It's a fan who put money in when we really needed it calling out King who is doing nothing but trying to get us on the cheap.

It goes along with many of my own feelings anyway.

I'm not even convinced he wants us on the cheap. He wants some sort of power without investing IMO.No doubt the two murrays involved too

Alan MacKenzie said in the article that he invested £500k pre-IPO, so how much has he invested in total since Green & co took over?

Has he invested the full £1m that he had previously pledged to the Trust's SaveRangers initiative?

Does anyone know how many shares Mr MacKenzie currently holds?

Unfortunately, I think Alan MacKenzie's very clear 'Green saved Rangers' type of mentality completely voids his credibility and some of his comments suggest that he was basically duped by Green's sales pitches, lies and moonbeams. That's nothing to be ashamed of though, since he's far from alone. Green duped a hell of a lot of our fans with his nonsense.

Might it be fair therefore to assume that given his wealth, Mr King is a “serious investor” Might it follow, that given his much publicised loss of 20m coupled with the inference that the share price is “not cheap” that he is using the very fans who “saved” the club, to create disharmony and distrust amongst those same fans for his own agenda? Buy cheap and sell high, being the usual modus-operandi for “serious” players in the stock market.

The legendary Scottish investor Sir John Templeton (Templeton Funds, Franklin Templeton etc) said that:

The first rule of investment is “Buy Low and Sell High”, but many people fear to buy low, because of the fear of the stock dropping even lower, then you may ask “When is the time to buy low?” The answer is: When there is maximum pessimism. The time of maximum pessimism is the best time to buy, and the time of maximum optimism is the best time to sell.”

I wish people would stfu with the "put up or shut up nonsense". It wasn't King that got us into this mess, and yet people think it's on him to get us out of it, just because he dares to tell it like it is. There's no mechanism for him to currently invest to the benefit of the club, so it's not going to happen. He's even said this himself.

It's a mexican stand-off, created by the current shareholders, and a succession of incompetent directors. There's a list a mile long of people to blame before King's name should be mentioned. Mr Green has created a situation that has truly fucked us over, mostly for the benefit of him and his cronies. Expecting King to put it right overnight is extremely naive.
