Anyone trying to peddle Champions League riches ( like the IPO prospectus did) needs to be sectioned we are simply light years from that and it should be regarded simply as a bonus if it ever comes along and certainly never ever factored in to any financial forecast.

But this can't be, our bullshitting blogger, 'Merlin the Spinning Fantasist' told us that our mysterious friends at Blue Pitch intend to invest up to 50M pounds sterling but only when we reach the CL.

In a similar vein, I today pledged 150M Euros to Dukla Pumpherston when they win their second UEFA Champions League.

We are not even losing half of that, no way mate. With turnover averaged at £19m for the last 2 seasons and expenditure at around £24m. It works out around £400k a month loss.

We'll probably see that previous "one off costs" have to large extent been replaced by a range of new "one off costs", not convinced the monthly deficit will be as small as we think it should be.

Agreed yet i am interested to know what these new costs are and whether they are justifiable, necessary or whatever.

Presumably the difference between SC's figures and GS' figures are non-recurring items such as non-contractual bonuses (if there are any such) and capital expenditure. I don't know to what extent capital items were paid for in the first 6 months of the financial year but it should be in the interim figures.
