Zappa 0
Friday, 22 August 2014 17:30 Lee Set For Talks Written by Rangers Football Club FORMER Rangers goalkeeper Lee Robinson is training with the Light Blues as manager Ally McCoist discusses a potential short term deal with the shot stopper. McCoist is seeking cover for the injured Cammy Bell and competition for Steve Simonsen and will assess Robinson in a pre-arranged training stint at Murray Park. He said: “Lee’s been training with us. He was scheduled to do that anyway but with the injury to Cammy we’re going to have a look at Lee. “In an ideal world we’ll have a chat with him and if we can do something then great if it suited all parties. “We’ve got the problem of Cammy being out for certainly two to three weeks – hopefully that’s all it will be – so we certainly need to protect in such a specialised position so if we can do something with Lee that would be great. “We’d want to bring him in as a competitive goalkeeper. Hopefully the injury to Cammy is not longer-term but at the same time we’re not bringing someone in to make up numbers.” McCoist admits that Saturday may come too soon for Robinson to be considered as part of the squad however. He added: “In an ideal world that would be smashing, but you would have to say time might be against us.” http://www.rangers.co.uk/news/headlines/item/7502-lee-set-for-talks
forlanssister 3,105
Not exactly what any youth keeper would want to read ... but a rather predictable move. Anyone know how Robinson's quality is these days? (NB: remind yourself that we supposedly had a player on trial a few weeks back and went ballistic about this, only for the club to deny that it was actually the case ... ) So half a day on we have no further news on that rumour? Well, I'll give it another "48" hours then! Any news on that rumour 24h on then? Damn biased mhedia spouting their nonsense again! http://www.gersnetonline.co.uk/vb/showthread.php?65305-Lee-Robinson-signs Just saying like!

Zappa 0
... Kindergarden nonsense? In fairness dB, when you repeatedly put yourself in the firing line, it's inevitable that you'll get shot!
Rangersitis 0
... Kindergarden nonsense? Is that the German spelling?
der Berliner 3,716
In fairness dB, when you repeatedly put yourself in the firing line, it's inevitable that you'll get shot! Well, I regard that as ironic banter then. And BTW, welcome to Rangers FC, Lee!
Zappa 0
Well, I regard that as ironic banter then. We all stick up for each other when we think it's appropriate dB, but the ironies which occasionally smack us in the face while posting our thoughts on Rangers forums are equal to us all, so the odd bit of harmless banter is fair game across the board.
