BrahimHemdani 1
ask Graham Wallace You're the man who said a moment ago it was an onerous contract. Whatever, GW may have said or implied it seems the current Board do not agree.
BrahimHemdani 1
I don't think he's serious about getting us to SPFL/Europe as you alluded to. Well that's a bit different, LG; and something we can perhaps agree to disagree on.

BrahimHemdani 1
and you believe that? I don't If anyone is entitled to be sceptical I think you will agree that I would be near the top of the queue; but I find it difficult to believe that any director would tell an outright lie to the RFB on a matter of fact.

Mountain Bear 0
The Rangers support is inclined to see everything in terms of bravado where loyalty is trumpeted, defeatism condemned and 'no surrender' lauded, but the world has changed. This is the language of caricature where everything is seen as a battle to fight and with military terms flying around as though they actually mean something. In the real and practical world, people make decisions more rationally and calmly, and rather than manning imaginary barricades, people look at the situation in the round and are guided by their best wisdom. That's why they will not actively support a club whose ownership is repugnant to them. Bravado or deeply cherished values? Loyalty should not be unconditional, but neither is it irrational to want to fight (as in "struggle to overcome, eliminate, or prevent") for something you care deeply about. Like the parent that refuses to give up on their wayward child, I'm perfectly well aware of the dysfunctional behaviour. I don't like or condone it, but I'm not going to stop trying to change it.

the gunslinger 3,366
Ally made his own position untenable and we can't afford to employ two managers at the same time, so promoting McDowall was probabaly the only possible solution. If he takes us up he'll probably get the gig, but if not he'll be let go for sure. but they wanted ally to stay. BrahimHemdani 1
Freddie George, analyst at Cantor Fitzgerald, said: “The company has a dominant market positioning in the UK and a great opportunity to develop the brand in overseas market. " "There has, however been less visibility on prospects. The company has become more acquisitive, recently acquiring interests in MySale, Debenhams, and fitness centres, which has led us to deduce that the development of the company’s internet platform has become less of a priority.” George Scott, senior consultant at Conlumino, warned the company’s fashion chains, which include USC and Republic, were a concern amid declining sales. He said: “Sports Direct is ultimately setup to continue to dominate the sports retail sector. Despite recent challenges, its core sports retail business boasts a compelling positioning and a number of promising pathways for growth, both organically and through acquisition. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/newsbysector/retailandconsumer/11288632/Mike-Ashley-holds-stakes-worth-almost-200m-in-rival-retailers.html
BrahimHemdani 1
but they wanted ally to stay. Publicly what else could they say. His legendary (playing) status meant that he was above public criticism as a manager (paraphrasing Somers). He's a duff manager and the sooner he goes the better?
