RIFC - Further breach of AIM Rule Rule 22?

Recommended Posts

Can you rule anything out when it comes to this board? Normally I'd totally agree with you but I fully expect them to come up with something which will result in a delay. I'm not sure about what the response is going to be if it goes legal, but it could get messy and be used as a further excuse for delay.

I really hope I'm wrong but I've just got used to fearing the worst when it comes to this crowd.

Let's face it. They've already used the fact that the 3Bs wouldn't expect repayment for their finance (it would be converted into capital) as an excuse for taking Ashley's cash. Anyone who opts for taking finance that they have to repay rather than finance where they don't have to pay can use anything and everything as an excuse.

If they do actually go down this route then they may aswell shut up shop as scarce revenue levels will dry up further (including retail) and if still around, ST renewals will be extremely thin on the ground.

In that scenario, it would suggest to me that they are seriously contemplating an insolvency event either at the end of the first tranche of 5M or if Ashley wants more secured debt (secured on what ?), they'd want more time and to work their way through the second tranche.

I'd also note the strange and often antagonistic board actions/statements of late and say that they appear not to care very much for their credibility or popularity. This isn't completely new but the levels reached are and they don't miss an opportunity.

Agreed. I just don't get why they are attempting to alienate the vast majority of their customer base. I guess that For Ashley it may just be a game that he wants to win at and he's not really bothered about the impact on the club? It's weird behaviour though and they wouldn't last long behaving like that in any other area of business.

You're correct that many who renewed this season won't renew next unless there are changes. I've never been able to see that a boycott would force change and the attitude of the directors re-enforces that viewpoint but there are other reasons not to renew and just being totally sickened by the attitude and actions of the board will see plenty feeling like that, and that includes 4 out of 6 of me and my mates who sit together.

These are real concerns in the run up to the EGM and you're absolutely spot on to highlight them because nothing can be ruled out with this mob.

Based on the board's own decisions and actions as well as the lack of them when it's suited, they clearly can't be trusted with the interests of the company or the interests of our Club, so there's definitely justification for fearing the worst from them.

The last time Rangers men requisitioned an EGM the board did nothing but try to throw spanners in the works with stall tactics, smear campaigns and all sorts of underhand nonsense and it's been very obvious that they've already headed off down that same path with Dave King's EGM requisition.

This latest fiasco with a venue is almost certainly a tactic to throw another spanner in the works, stall for time etc while they cook up some sort of plan.
