Gers To Train At Spurs

Recommended Posts

Loan deals are for small clubs.

Garbage.

Real Madrid had Hernandez on loan last season, cant remember too many people thinking they are a small club.

Falcao to Man Utd - another small club and Chelsea this season.

If you play the market right it does wonders. Arsene Wenger uses this system to know if a player is going to make it or not. Look at Alex Song at West Ham last season, he came from Barcelona and didn't sniff at where he was playing, he was outstanding and is now linked with both Man City and Chelsea for his performances.

You cite clubs which have deep, talented squads making the odd loan signing of international players. The current situation at Ibrox Bears no resemblance to those situations.

Okay loaning unheard of youths to give them game time is for very small clubs.

they are unheard of to you. The loan prospects winks + fredricks are far better standard than the signings we have made. Its not the players that are lacking its your knowledge of them.

That's not the point. Developing players for other clubs is pointless. Doing it at the expense of ours in the second division is a tragedy.

I don't care if spurs offer us unknowns or harry kane it's utter folly to take them.

exciting players generate income that is the benefit plus obviously promotion comes with financial gains as do a good cup run with no major outlay. It also helps the club assess whether a large outlay on this kind of player in similar circumstances can do the job and recoup his transfer.

Don't get me wrong I would rather we had money and bought this calibre of player but unfortunately that doesn't seem on the cards.

Nothing excites fans more than home grown talent.

for about 5 minutes until the standard becomes apparent. At the end of the day youth for youth sake is no good to anybody they have to be good enough too merit their inclusion and the ticket price for admission.

There is also the fact that youth players from down south are more like athletes than our youth. The hope would be that the home grown lot then realise the amount of work and dedication that is required to play at the highest levels.
