Spiers should have been banned sine die from Rangers long ago along with several other pseudo- journos belonging to the Rangers-hating pondlife in the mhedia. If this true then it's long overdue.

I don't think that the marytr stuff will hold. At the end of the day, someone pays for his work and if he can't deliver that work, especially direct and first hand information, his employers will have to send someone in his stead. Over the course of time, he will become peripheral and/or forgotten.

 

The only people who will lap him up are those of his inclination or ilk, and if they are dealt with in a similar mammer, they too will be gone over time. It is not that Rangers want anything special. Rangers want impartial journos writing impartial stories. Primarily, Rangers also want journos in the first place, not folk like Spiers and Co., who are anything but journos.

Spiers purports to be anti-sectarian and all the rest but is a Rangers-hating bigot himself.There are many others like him in the mhedia and I hope the club deals with them all in a similar manner
