Club Statement RE: BBC Bans

Recommended Posts

McLaughlin once again this morning on live radio insisted the club is in liquidation. Clearly this goes against accuracy guidelines when we consider LNS's ruling.

Should the club react to this pettiness?

Give this vile, bespectacled rhodent a life ban from Ibrox. This is deliberate. If he doesn't know the club continued by now then he's been living on another planet for these past few years. Every legal ruling has stipulated the club continued.

BAN HIM FOR LIFE.........NOW

If you hear it, complain to the club.

It is essentially much like he did when BBC Scotland's sports department was told off by the BBC Trust. It took him just a few hours after the latter became public to spout more of the same bile as given above.

EDIT: Don't remove his press credentials, simply make him a persona non grata.

Just ban him for life. Don't let the little weasel set foot inside Ibrox ever again.

The club has to act now. It has accepted their blank assurances, issued a pathetic unclear statement giving him back his press pass, and within hours were getting mixed messages from BBC employees, and now this old topic being re-raised by the one guy who is supposed to have assured us of absolute non-bias and fair reporting. For McLaughlin to have brought up the club has been liquidated pish again, is a blatant attempt to show us that he will continue to do and say as he pleases.

Life ban for that tosser please, and a full and hard-hitting statement that BBC have already reneged on their assurances and we will have nothing more to do with them. If they have a contract to show games in the league cup from Ibrox, then fine, but they dont get access to players or management, they dont get access to pressers.

Considering the pattern of McLaughlin's reporting ever since he was appointed senior football reporter for BBC Scotland, it was very surprising to me that whoever took the decision to allow him back near the club, didn't anticipate that he would never change his approach. The benefit to our club in again allowing him access, escaped me. The same goes for the organisation that he works for. Does it really matter if BBC Scotland are excluded?
