Bruno55 0
Why are we panicing about players leaving after just nine games? We should be all in our glory with these players after the mince we've had to put up with. If one eventually leaves the magic hat will just sign a new one he's put the smile back on our faces again so let's embrace what's happening at our record breaking club and look forward to the revenge were going to inflict to all the team's who wanted us dead. We never panicked when argyrou, faure and cribari were nine games in...oh wait
Tannochsidebear 2,405
I would be surprised if he had been offered higher wages by a Championship club, which would have been a step up for him and a shop window, and he didn't go; but your information is usually reliable. More to the point they all share the same agent as Warburton, Key Sports Managament; work it out. it's not rocket science. The wages on offer from an English Championship club were double what we offered, but we managed to sell the club to him with live tv games, exposure, fan adoration, potentially European games etc. That he and his agent accepted the lower deal with the cheap buy-out seemed a fair deal to me at the time. Of course, what we as a club should be doing now is giving the boy a substantial pay rise and removing the buy-out clause, or at least putting it at a more realistic level if they insist on it remaning.
