BEARGER 1,829 Posted November 30, 2015 Author Share Posted November 30, 2015 Problem is loss of revenue have seen time and again this season the section next to the visiting support being left empty so although it hurts to allow them so many tickets it should bring in much needed cash. Ibrox holds less so Celtic fans should theoretically get less but the same percentage of Ibrox capacity. They should get about 5500. We've always been very fair to them. The reason they get the full stand is for segregation purposes I would imagine. It would be very difficult to police if there was a lot of supporters from both sides. In Holland the away supporters are totally fenced in on all sides(The high risk teams anyway) and Ajax and Feynoord don't give any tickets to each other when they meet as the chance of trouble is too high. If we got to the stage we gave them the 800-1000 in the corner, it would encourage some of their die-hards to go into the Rangers end and this is why the allocations are high. To be honest what makes the OF game such a world-wide hit is the noise generated by two large supports playing off against each other, which then creates a playing environment that players thrive on. I would love to give them nothing at all, and we do not go to the piggery ever again, but it would completely wipe out the atmosphere that makes this game such an attraction to non-OF fans. Like it or not, we are going to be stuck with giving our whole Broomie to them, and getting our 8000 allocation at the piggery as we have had since it was rebuilt. It's not just on here though TB, most of the other forums have the same debate on a regular basis now. FF had the same thread a few weeks ago. There is a real determination within the support (well the online support) to vastly reduce their allocation, whether that would dampen the atmosphere, tension and noise on the day, i would think the opposite. More Bears singing in harmony and getting stuck into the Vhermin. If i don't see another scum supporters at Ibrox i would die a happy Bear.
