New fans group

Recommended Posts

Not all members will be shareholders nor will the entire organisation necessarilly be share owning.

The aim of the new joint group i would hope, would be two or even three fold,

Firstly to help the support get a seat on the board and gain influence through increased shareholding.

Secondly to give the club financial help through direct financing from a membership scheme, also interest free loans in times of emergency.

Thirdly and this is my personal wish, to purchase assets like the Albion Car Park. The support would own the land in trust in perpetuity for and on behalf and benefit of the club, The club would get the purchase price upfront, once the insurances, land duties, wages and taxes are paid. The club would get the balance of the revenue to spend on capital project or maintenance of Ibrox. It's a win win for the club.

Some supporters will never join a supports group or membership scheme, i understand that. So they can't complain what the group is called, those who do join understand what their Direct Debit pays for. If it's any of the above options mentioned, then they are shareholder or part owners in the club.

That would be a big disappointment. If RST & RF merge with the other groups into on organisation what happens to the shares they own?

That will be determined by the members.

Could be I'm not reading this correctly, but is it the case that the new fans group will not have the object of ownership of the club or at least a substantial shareholding?

The group will be aiming for a substantial shareholding but will have other functions too.
