Celtic fans urged to launch Israel protest

Beats me where any apartheid comes into it. The Israeli defence wall?

Is Egypt operating apartheid? They have built a wall along the border with Gaza. The sellick grunts going to be demonstrating about that too?

The Egypt–Gaza barrier refers to the steel border barrier along the border between Egypt and the Gaza Strip. Because it is essentially splitting the city of Rafah, the steel barrier is also referred as a separation wall.

In December 2009, Egypt started with help from the US, the building of a steel wall along the Gaza border. If it is finished, the wall will be 10-11 km (6-7 miles) long and extend 18 metres below the surface. The wall was to be completed in 18 months.

On 29 October 2014, Egypt had begun demolishing homes along its border with the Gaza Strip as part of a planned 500m buffer zone that is intended to prevent weapons smuggling entering Gaza

Are they really worried about apartheid? I can give them an example to get in a twist about. Only muslims are allowed to enter the Saudi Arabian city of Mecca. What's that but religious apartheid? Can you imagine the affront if Italy announced that only catholics were allowed to enter Rome yet nobody says a thing about Saudi Arabia who also had a law barring Jews from entering the country at all.

So people go insane when Trump says muslims should be prevented from entering the US but were there any screams of horror when Saudi banned Jews? Not at all, i'm betting most maybe even all of you didn't even know about any of the Saudi apartheid but you all knew about the Trump proclamation.

Not that i'm a fan of Trump on any level because i'm not but it's a perfect comparison in this instance.

Road sign on a highway into Mecca, stating that one direction is "Muslims only" while another direction is "obligatory for non-Muslims". Religious police are stationed beyond the turnoff on the main road to prevent non-Muslims from proceeding into Mecca

In the Holy City of Mecca, only Muslims are allowed. Non-Muslims may not enter or travel through Mecca; attempting to enter Mecca as a non-Muslim can result in penalties such as a fine; being in Mecca as a non-Muslim can result in deportation.

CELTIC were warned they face tough sanctions if fans stage an anti-Israeli protest this week.

Measures threatened by Uefa include closure of some parts of Parkhead.

The crackdown follows fears some diehards will wave Palestinian flags at Wednesday night’s Champions League tie against Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

The move would defy the governing body’s ban on “political” emblems at games.

And it comes in the wake of rules breaches by Hoops fans which have cost the club £100,000 in fines since 2011.

The bill includes a £16,000 penalty two years ago for waving the same banners.

A Uefa spokesman said: “It would probably lead to a disciplinary case against the club.

“We would take into account previous incidents when deciding on sanctions.

“It starts with a warning to the club, then a fine — then it could lead to a partial stadium closure and so on.”

A group called Celtic Fans for Palestine plans to hand out flags outside the stadium before the play-off first leg against the team’s Israeli rivals.

An online statement says: “In support of the Palestinians, we invoke our democratic rights to display our opposition to Israeli apartheid, settler-colonialism and countless massacres.”

More than 1,000 Facebook users have backed them.

Celtic were not available for comment last night.

Ra Sellik have had a dozen straight fines from UEFA in the last five years. Constantly, they are threatened with a stand being closed, it does not happen. They have a Get out of Jail card in Irish UEFA Delegate, John Delaney. Any problems and Delaney goes into fire fighting mode on behalf of Peter. When John was caught on film, indulging in an IRA-kara-oke, Peter returned the favour, ensuring the footage and story remained confined to the inside pages of the Irish press.

It's a multi layered defence of course, the usual suspects will be on message reference non reporting of chants/flags/demonstrations. Any slippage like Euan Murray reporting last weeks Tynecastle sing-song will be swiftly dealt with, by demanding Editors to ignore or turn down the amplification. Broadcast media will have microphones dampened and cameras pointing elsewhere. Any leakage and Delaney will be on stand-bye.

The Piggery was ordered closed for a number of weeks in 1941/42 for pro-Nazi chanting.

Their tactic is always the same....LIE, DEFLECT or DENY.

They have a massive problem with militant Irish Republicanism which politicians & authorities will not confront as they should

How many terrorist entities must these freaks champion before some serious questions are asked? They're akin to an overt fifth column in our midst.

And I guarantee you that 99% of them know absolutely nothing about the Israel/Palestine situation and probably don't even know what apartheid means either.
