Resolution 11 fails by <1%

Recommended Posts

The board could have done more, we all could have done more, It's always the case that more could have been done. But McCoist promised to support the board and then reneged, the actions of a conman.

throws all those fucking awful signings into new light

honest mistakes?

aye right.

Will the board look to hold an EGM to get this pushed through?

Who knows, but this is always an option. Likewise, while everyone give it to McCoist, the result as it stands means, unless I am mistaken, that a share issue can and probably will happen and if Ashley, Sports Direct and the Eadales want to keep their %, they will have to stump up cash that will go to the club. And who knows whether they all will do that.

I think if a do-over was organised we'd get a lot higher turnout. It's also possible that Ally, rather than deliberately derailing the resolution, just didn't bother his arse and would vote in favour if there was a second vote.

It depends what they are in it for. Even out of pure spite far less a longer strategy (say to eventually regain control and re-appoint Ally,....aaaaaaaaaaaaargh) they might look to increase their percentage. They could do this unless everyone else spends to keep their relevant percentages up. The dual ownership/interest thing is hardly a tight binding and, in any case, Ashley could just pass on an excess percentage to a docile pal/acquaintance. That's if anyone actually tried to hold him to it and there seems little appetite for that or much legal weight behind the concept.
