SteveC 150
Bobby Russel played a big part in our 2-3 defeat of PSV in Eindhoven if I remember correctly. That was the first time they had ever been defeated at home. That's correct. Wonderful link up play with wee Tommy McLean was a feature of that, and many other, games. Bobby Russell was a joy to watch. When him McDonald and McLean were in sync it was brilliant and if Cooper was in the mood on the left then the football was far more sophisticated and fluid than that team ever seems to be credited with.

Oleg_Mcnoleg 50
In terms of players I've personally seen in a Rangers jersey only. Goram, Jardine, Numan, Gough, Souness, Brown, Cooper, Gascoigne, McCoist, Mols, Laudrup. Swap Brown for Butcher for my selection. Was tempted to add Baxter and Caldow but stuck with those I can actually remember. Otherwise, if them, then why not Morton, for eg.?

SteveC 150
I was tempted to put that down too, boabie - though that line-up very rarely played, strangely enough. Crimson Dynamo 128
I started following Rangers when I was 6 in 1985 so I'm only going to restrict it to players I saw. 1. goram 2. Stevens 3. Numan 4. Butcher © 5. Gough 6. McCall 7. Gascoigne 8. Steven 9. Hateley 10. Laudrup 11. Cooper Playing in a 4-1-2-3
MacK1950 2,357
Steve & Boabie I too was tempted to put that team but chose to go through the years with my selection. Had the pleasure of speaking to "Wee Willie" at Davy Cooper's memorial night in Thornton Suite and like me he rhymed off the team. There are so many combinations but can only say that no matter what it has been a pleasure to have seen most of them play, but still my hero was Slim Jim although it was sad to see only a shadow of him when he came back. Memories are made of this according to the song:rfc:

(Injuries, national service etc.) True. But add on Harry Davis, Alex Scott, Davy Provan, George McLean and Jim Forrest and you've got a five year squad.
