New manager appointment

Recommended Posts

Found out today that it was Douglas Park via Pedro Mendes that put in motion our new managers appointment .This is probably widely known , what may not be quite as widely known is that Pedro Mendes works for/with Jorge Mendes the super agent and that most of our summer recruits will be coming via this agency , oh for Christiano Ronaldo to be the first lolololol

I watch Portuguese football when i'm out in Madeira, the Primeira League is tougher than the SPFL, some of the ding dongs are very heated. Some of the tougher players will fit in nicely.

All of whom will be unknowns that Jorge Mendes is looking to use as a stepping stone. Nothing wrong with that of course - but being a super agent means lining your pockets first and foremost.

Means little to me.

I just read a piece on Jorge Mendes and he works with other agencies helping place his and their players. He helps place a lot of loan players as well so that will probably suit us. I suppose he gets involved in anything that makes money.

Id take the real Ronaldo right now.

But there seems to be good links about this appointment and we could unearth a few jems, and if it means selling them on for big profit then so be it.

At least the net might be cast a lot wider hopefully.

What I would not like to see is the team becoming like some of the EPL consisting of overseas players only, somehow it would be hard to relate as a true GLASGOW rangers team.

If they offer me 10 in a row before the tims and play good football I don't give a damn where they come from. It is a pity for Scottish football that we are not producing players that are now even British top class but Rangers can not become substandard because of nationalistic ideologies.
