This will be the first real test for Steven Gerrard. Nobody would blink an eyelid if a Liverpool player was supporting Everton in a Cup final against another team, and vice versa. I suspect Gerrard thinks the rivalry is the same up here, but it clearly isn’t. However no employment tribunal would see it as gross misconduct, so we can’t sack him in reality. But who would buy him?

I can’t get too upset at this though. Does nobody remember Coisty and Durrant in the Rangers end when we won the league against st. Johnstone, when they were both Kilmarnock players at the time?

The saddest thing about about this is that nobody recognised him, and he is obviously used to nobody recognising him. I didn’t recognise him in the photo myself. Can you imagine Mo Johnston, or even Neil McCann doing this? No, but if they had even tried the Tim’s would have lynched them, or the cops would have stopped them going in. But MoH could have a season ticket there and nobody would recognise him. Or even worse, if they did but don’t even see him as a threat!

Gerrard has played in loads of Liverpool derbies and has attended a handful of Glasgow derbies, so he'll be fully aware that our derby is quite different to the one on the Mersey (where rival fans often sit in the wrong end).

Most English football fans are at least vaguely aware of the religious aspect of the Glasgow derby.

1. That’s nonsense. If a Liverpool player was seen in the Everton end there would be an outrage.

2. You really think there is any comparison to be made there with Durrant and McCoist?

3. He was recognised...

I never really liked Whittaker as a player.  Anyone who wants to parade children around in Tim tops is questionable, given the stuff that has gone on at that filthy midden.

These are two examples of what is wrong with our club nowadays.  We have lost our way somewhat and need our employees to understand what Rangers is.  It's not just any old football club - it's The Rangers.  We will fight 'til the day is done.
