You must remember it from a few years ago. They were all on about it. Chief Constables, Jack McConnell, Salmond, the toff Liberal guy, Gorrie, Chick Young, NBM and all the rest of the hand-wringers, even surgeons from A&E departments. Streets running with blood. Domestic violence. Hospitals over burdened. You don’t hear so much these days. What’s changed? Are all the initiatives and re-education programmes bearing fruit? Not that I want to belittle any damage/violence after OF games, it was happening for years so I'm still not sure why that was the straw that broke the camels back? Instead of going out looking for a fight, lads just sit on their phones and abuse people online. You can see a similar situation in most town/city centres at weekends ...less people go to the pub due to the prices and you can communicate, quite easily, without being in the same place. Main difference is that, due to the early kick offs, trouble doesn’t happen inside the ground. But it is worse now at pubs later in the day/night, when everyone is drunk.
