1.  Why would that be a sticking point ?  Especially if

2.  He just takes the manager's job and then selects himself

 

Miller isn't stupid.  All he needed to do was accept the manager's job and demand that he had the final say on team selection.... like any other manager should have.  Then he gets to select whomever he wishes.... and, funnily enough, he himself would be in the playing pool.

 

Makes zero sense and, as buster says, sounds likte utter pish.
