[FT] Rangers 1 (Goldson 41) - 0 FC Ufa

Our CB options as of now are Katic and Goldson, with Flanagan able to play across the back line. McCrorie might have been a CB at youth level, but so far he only excelled as DM for us. Wallace "might" be utilized as a left-sided CB in a back-3, but that has to be trialled. We sure need another CB.

McCrorie has played in various positions, including RB, CH and DM.

As he develops all options are open.

Ref Kent being right footed and unable to cross

It's actually more about decision making than ability. He consistently chooses to run inside in front of defenders rather than running to the byline and getting a ball in.

But you can't compare the left footed open play crossing of a natural left footer to that of someone who's trained up their left foot. I haven't been overly impressed with Kent's left footed crossing from open play or corners, though he's had a couple of decent corners.

And confidence.

He is young and a winger. Inconsistency is inevitable.

He'll need a kick up the erchie on ocassion, ie. dropped/rotated.

Another loss for Ufa at the weekend to continue their poor form, albeit to a very good team in Zenit. Played 25 minutes with 10 men too. 4 players rested.

That leaves them with only 2 goals scored in their last 5 games, both against Progres. And 9 conceded.

They seem to be prioritising Europe and will be well up for the game on Thursday.

I doubt they'll go all-out attack from the beginning because thay don't have any away goals but they'll be more adventurous than at Ibrox and may look towards set-pieces.

No Barisic suggests little chance of starting with a 3-5-2 and it'll probably be back to the tried and tusted for Europe.
