Two pens on a stick on when Candeias is taken out in the box and the second Middleton was adjudged to have been on the receiving end of Lafferty winning the ball with his hand. We bossed the game but never really looked like adding to our lead other than one or two pieces of decent play. The officials didn't help by as lenient a display of refereeing I've ever seen but we didn't play with enough pace. One would hope we simply try Middleton and Lafferty (next to Morelos) from the start next week, snatch an early goal and counter them out of their ground. We weren't at our best and managed to beat a team that were one place below Zenit last season. I've no idea how we ended up with more yellow cards than them after all their fouls. The ref was too lenient in my opinion. I'm really enjoying watching this team play.
