A muslim certainly. It is the one box they haven't ticked. 

 

What they are basically saying is, we don't care about legacy Dr Who fans, we want to attract a younger audience which typically shuns linear TV.  

 

It is a desperate attempt to stay relevant.

It could be good, but was done on the cheap by the BBC. Just like all BBC SciFi like Blake 7 and Quatermass. The first Star Wars film, showed just how cheap the BBC efforts were back in 1977.

There was a vegan festival near me yesterday.  As I wandered past, I noted a large percentage of attendees had either blue or green hair.
