Kneel on, kneel on ....

It has always intrigued me how kneeling has been left to sports people and footballers in particular. I don't see tennis players or golfers kneeling before they play. Nor do I see musicians or other stage performers on their knees before a show. Have you noticed doctor or teachers starting their working day with a good kneel-down? Do they take the knee every morning in the factories and offices of Britain?

So who in the wide wide world of woke decided that football should bear the burden of defending the right to life in a black skin? And more importantly, how do we pass this enormous baton of responsibility to some other section of society?

Tennis and golf are still largely white middle class exclusive areas with the odd exception like Woods and Arthur Ashe or the Williams sisters.

I appreciate that you're infatuated by class and the need to see everyone according to your perception of their place in the class system but what exactly is the link you're trying to establish between class and race-genuflection.

Just a possible suggestion as to why we haven't se en the gestures at those sporting events. Not a causal link. Maybe you can answer your own point.

"The Premier League’s players will no longer take the knee before every match, preferring to perform the anti-racism gesture at specific high-profile moments during the season in the belief that less is more.".
