"delusional and divisive".

Other than swear words and general abuse, that's the best summary of the SNP I have ever heard.

Apart from which, she could give me a dressing-down, any day of the week

Dornan making a first class ned of himself again...

"A post from the Twitter account of an SNP MSP which suggested Jacob Rees-Mogg will “undoubtedly rot in hell” has been reported to the Standards Commission for Scotland."

Steerpike in The Spectator  online today doesn’t like Dornan.

It's difficult to keep up with James Dornan these days. Whether it's accusingLothian Buses of discriminating against Catholics or failing to releaseinformation that exonerated Rangers football club, the gaffe-prone Glasweigan has earned himself earned the reputation of being a one man wrecking ball to harmonious community relations.

Not for nothing has Steerpike christened him the 'Hate-Finder General.' But now it seems Dornan has been spreading his own brand of hate, judging by a tweet he sent yesterday to Jacob Rees-Mogg who tweeted his support of the Borders Bill to tackle small boat Channel crossings. Unsurprisingly the SNP MSP has now chosen to lock his Twitter account after screenshots circulated of the diatribe Dornan directed at the Tory MP:

“Hope you remember this the next time you go to confession. You and your cronies are already responsible for the deaths of thousands and you're now happy to see the most desperate people in the world suffer and drown. If your god exists you will undoubtedly rot in hell.”

Given Rees-Mogg is a well-known practising Catholic, Steerpike wonders how such pejorative talk about 'your god' can be squared with Dornan's professed concern about anti-Catholic prejudice in Glasgow. Mr S cannot recall seeing one sitting parliamentarian wishing such curses on another for quite some time.

How different the SNP looks when the media can be bothered to shine a light on them.

Seems like a slight uptick recently, or maybe it’s just me - I try my best to ignore politics. Probably a crazy theory, but journalism is a business - us winning the league, waving union flags and taking over Glasgow perhaps a gentle reminder for those who’ve been hiding their Rangers mugs in the bottom drawer that they can be brave enough to do that thing journalism is meant to do and scrutinise the government. Or maybe it’s just they’ve reached astronomical levels of incompetence lately.
