Immigration or number go up

Recommended Posts

I wonder if immigration has any impact on mental health.

Does the increasingly rapid transformation of society help people?

Or does it leave people feeling like the rug is about to be pulled out from beneath them?

I imagine there are a lot of issues that could have an impact on someone's mental health.

Quite.

This thread was intended to be about the relationship between immigration and economic growth. So I'd prefer to talk about any overlap rather than just switch the thread to mental health.

He also thinks that everyone in Britain is descended from immigrants.

You could say that about anywhere in the world.  You could also say most nations will have concerns about Immigration, it isn't exclusive to the UK.

Immigration isn't a bad thing and I'm sure most Britons would agree with that.  Mass Immigration... maybe not so much.  Large numbers of illegal immigrants... definitely not.

Of course he is. The ICC and CBI just love cheap imported labour. Instead of ideas to get the 5m or so inactive people back to work, they reach for the unskilled immigrant in typical EU style.

Now there’s a report of fifty migrants in trouble in the channel refusing help from a French warship but waiting until a British ship picked them up and brought them to Blighty should have left them let them drown send a message .

A (very) recent genetic map of Britain by Oxford University completely refutes the sound bite that we’re all descended from immigrants. I’ll try to find it again.
