He nearly joined us on a bosman under Smith but joined Chelsea when Ruud Guillit was manager. Would have loved to see him play for us, a quality player who I remember often playing the game with a smile on his face. I'd love either Chels or Gers having that sort of problem today!!! Quality player, and always a gentleman. Always remember him coming to life with Chelsea 2-0 down at Tromso in blizzard conditions and at least an inch of snow covering the pitch. He scored in the 85th minute and they scored again in 86th, 3-1 with a minute to go and Vialli waltzed past their defence and the orange ball was in the net 3-2 and he became manager a few months later and went on to lift the CWC against VfB Stuttgart in the final. 0 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
