Club 1872 Contributors Survey Report

Dear Contributor,

We are pleased to present our Contributors with the report of the recent survey carried out by Club 1872. With nearly 2500 responses, this is the largest, in depth survey of Rangers supporters carried out in many years. Statistically speaking, the number of survey responses make it hugely significant in terms of accuracy. There is a great likelihood that the survey results generally mirror the views held across the huge breadth of the Rangers support. The results form a hugely valuable source of information for the Club 1872 Board to accurately reflect the views of Contributors.

The topics covered all the major areas of debate, concern and discussion amongst the Rangers support and our own Contributors at the time. It is the Club 1872 Board’s intention to hold a number of smaller surveys in 2023 based on these results.

The results of this survey will now also trigger specific Contributor polls to form Club 1872 policy in a number of areas. These polls will include taking a formal position on Safe Standing, updating our position on seeking an RIFC Board place for Club 1872 to push forward fan representation at Rangers and consulting Contributors on ways in which we might improve accountability for the current custodians of the club.

The survey results mirror some of the concerns that the Club 1872 Board has had in its interactions with Rangers’ Executive Team over the past two years. We hope, following Douglas Park’s public commitment to engage with Club 1872 at the recent RIFC AGM, that we will now be able to address these issues directly with the RIFC Plc Board in 2023 and help to improve the club’s general interaction and engagement with supporters, based on these results.

The report is split into two sections and also contains details of actions that Club 1872 will now take based on the results.

The first section relates to questions regarding Rangers and can be veiwed here - Survey Report Rangers

The second relates to questions regarding Club 1872 and can be viewed here - Survey Report Club 1872

We will also shortly send the video of our Annual Contributors Meeting, which was held on Monday night, to Contributors. It will also be posted on our YouTube channel.

"Look, we know we're not achieving any of our objectives but here's some meaningless numbers to be getting on with. Surely that counts for something. No one likes us, we don't care."
