He was a disaster, entirely of the boards making.

How he ever came to manage Rangers is hard to fathom but, to be fair, he was a disaster of his own making.

I've no doubt the board appointed Beale with the best of intentions - y'know the stuff that paves the road to hell. Their big mistake was thinking good intent was a substitute for sound decision making. Turns out it was a huge mistake. Gerrard was a decent appointment at the time, no doubt. Van Bronckhorst wasn't a bad appointment in itself, it just didn't work out in the end and that happens at all clubs. But the decision to appoint Beale was just reckless.

Should PLG have been given two full seasons?

Caixinha joined in March, and before the end of the season he'd managed to get hammered 5-1 to Celtic at Ibrox and lost 2-1 to Aberdeen at Ibrox. In 10 league games he managed to drop points in 4. In other words, the writing was on the wall from the very beginning. Should we not have sacked him? And saved him the hassle of explaining himself from a bush a few months later?

Should Gerrard have been sacked for doing all that and more.
